Temperature Alarm for Server Rooms

The computer rooms contain servers and data of very high value. The normal temperature in a server room should be between 21 and 25°C. The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) recommends a temperature between 18°C and 27°C. In fact, going from 20°C to 27°C reduces eclectic consumption by 4%.

Even if your room is air-conditioned, it is important to monitor the operation of your server room with a temperature alarm system. The air conditioning system can break down and you need to be warned in time to protect your machines.

Which temperature alarm system for your server room ?

We offer IP temperature sensors that are accurate and stable over time (-40+/85°C ±0.5°).

You can connect these sensors to an IP Sensor Net Connect box available in Ethernet or Wi-Fi. The Ethernet version is preferable. Indeed, you easily have an IP socket nearby, so you will have a more stable connection over time.

To receive alarms, you have two options :

  • The turnkey solution with Thermotrack Webserve. The application is complete. You set the alarm thresholds and create several users to consult the curves and receive alerts. You receive SMS, Email or Pop-Up alarm messages on your PC.

  • The integration into your software or monitoring system. You use the SNMP protocol with the MIB we provide you or sending XML frames to the application of your choice. For this solution, you must have IT and development skills.
